Little Boy’s Meeting with God

There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of root beer and started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons.

The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Once again she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was, and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?” He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But, before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied, “I ate Twinkies in the park with God.” But, before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”

Moral: God is everywhere.  We just need to share our happiness and make others smile to feel him.

'152' Thoughts on a Story

  1. Fab storyyy…

  3. When we read a Scientific book; It will inspire us to be a Scientist. If we read a biography of an athlete; It will inspire to be an athlete. If we read the life of a business man; It will inspire us to be a business man. Likewise, we may have several inspirational stories…. those things are just needed for sustaining our lives but I don’t think that they are essentials….. Only thing that can change a human into a real human is the moral stories. Love it, feel it and practice.

  4. I like the story..I have one question on stories moral .”god is everywhere “..why some of the god (people) try to hurt ..what happiness they want frm us ?…I will love it if u answer my point of view ..Plz Anyone answer it in detail so that I can change my point of view and can have positive vision towards world.☺

  5. really nice

  6. God is everywhere

  7. The story is simple but a commendable one. In Bible it is written that “You are the temple of God.” That means God resides inside everybody. Those who knows the fact can explore and meet Him, others will just ignore Him!! It is a matter of perception. Ignorance is a sin. Knowledge is power. Knowledge is a matter of positivity. Somebody has rightly said that if your eyes are positive than you will love the world. And if your tongue is positive the world will love you.

  8. A simple and beautiful story..superb..the writter is also superb

God is every where. God won’t hurt you. People will hurt you. They believe God in a material form, but the truth is not. They pray, they see, God is materialistic form or they feel God is a person or a thing. Hope I answered.

Some of the God (people) hurt us so that we can feel the pain of being hurt. We do hurt many people n do not realise it. But the one who is hurt only knows how painful it is.
By hurting us God teaches us not to hurt any one. Dear always remember ‘God is working on each one’s plan but in his own ways’
