One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yeah,” said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.
The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
“We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father was speechless.
Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”
Moral: Love, Unity, Care, Satisfaction is richer than any comfort money gives.

Very beautiful story. It has really a moral lessons yet it can make the reader laugh at the end part. Good job!

This may be the best story that you may have read but guess what. I may just be 13 years old, and gone through a lot in life, and life is reality. This is a fairytale and can hardly ever come true. I’ve gone through hurtful moments in my life. Ive learned a lesson after 13 years with a father that lived 40 minutes away but only saw me twice a year,not only me but my brother(HIS SON). Now 3 weeks ago my father called me saying that he was moving miles and miles away, its hurtful because he wasn’t a father that kept his words. Like all the times he said that he’d come to see us, but he always lets my brother waiting for hours at the window. So sometimes fairytales just gets hurtful for some people.

I think thats why its called a fairy tale.try to get the moral of the story,which i believe is that values are different and perceptions are always different. Hope you get a story that you find helpful .i also hope things change for the better for your family

It’s good that the son could read between the lines, could see between the sights, with his intuition. The father was prejudiced with his thinking for the rich.
